Jena Sherre Pruitt

Jena Sherre McKay Pruitt went to be with the Lord July 12, 2024. She was born February 18, 1966, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to Kenneth and Betty McKay of Romance. After graduating from Rose Bud High School in 1984, she earned an associate degree in physical education from Arkansas State University Beebe in 1987. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years before working two decades in several roles at Beebe Public Schools. She had a heart for children and those less fortunate than herself and was always willing to serve anyone in need. She was also a member of the Beebe Church of Christ. She is remembered by her husband of 39 years, Larry, Jr.; daughters, Hailey and Shanie and son-in-law, Jake Tucker; a sister, Jan Cauley; two brothers, Kenny (Linda) McKay and Mitch McKay; mother-in-law, Joyce Corbin; two brothers-in-law, Marty (Kristy) Pruitt and Eric (Bekah) Pruitt; dozens of nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Beebe Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her by giving to the same kind of needs that were so close to her heart. All funds contributed will be used to support teachers and students at Beebe Public Schools for school lunches, classroom supplies, coat drives, and other necessities. We are immensely grateful to you for carrying on her legacy of love.
