Jeffrey Davis Jr.

Jeffrey Glenn Davis, Jr. age 50 of Benton, AR passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022.  He was born in Milton, Florida, September 19, 1971 to Jeffrey Glenn, Sr. and Voncille Hunsinger-Davis.

He was preceded in death by his Dad on January 6, 2022.  Also preceding him were his Grandparents, Toyee G. and Sarah L. Springer-Davis and Willie and Ruth Roberts-Hunsinger; Uncles, Terrell Hunsinger and Ken Bowling and Aunt, Sarah Davis-Bowling.

Jeff grew up attending church and Sunday School from the time he was a week old.  He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior while attending Highland Heights Baptist and was later baptized at Temple Baptist Church.  He graduated from Benton High School in 1990 and joined the US Navy in 1992.  After his enlistment, he worked in several different areas of carpentry and construction as a builder/framer, finishing carpenter, cabinet builder, tile layer, installed sprinklers in commercial buildings, tree/pole climber to hang satellite discs high up in the hills and mountains, lawn care—you wanted it done, he could do it.  He enjoyed planting flowers, keeping his yard mowed and taking care of his dog, Dixie.  Like his Dad, he had an infectious smile and laugh and loved to joke around.  He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

Survivors include his Son, Noah Davis, U of A Fort Smith, AR; Mother, Voncille Hunsinger-Davis; Brother, Jason Davis, Benton; Sisters, Virginia (Wallace) Wyeth, Alexander, Jennifer (Patrick) Lunsford, Benton; Nephews, Jonathon (Kayla) Richards, Russellville; Matthew Wyeth, Little Rock; Hunter, Micah, Daniel Lunsford, and Jasper Davis, Benton; Nieces, Samantha (Mason) Halsey, Little Rock and Abbie Lunsford, Benton; Great Nieces Claire Richards and Evelyn, Marigold Halsey and Great Nephew Malcom Halsey; Aunt, Willie Sue Hunsinger; and Uncles, Robert D. (Kathy) Hunsinger, Dahlonega, GA and Jeffery (Regina) Hunsinger, Shiloh/Manchester, GA, numerous relatives and friends.

Services are scheduled at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, Benton, AR for Monday, February 21, 2022.  Visitation is to begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.  No graveside service.

The family would like to especially thank the nurses and doctors who attended Jeff on 4-C/Bed 6 at the VA Hospital, Little Rock, and other medical personnel who contributed to Jeff’s medical care over the past several weeks.
