Jeff Durand Smith age 49, of Hot Springs died Friday, October 10, 2014 near Bismarck. He was born September 9, 1965 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Jeff was the special editions editor for the Hot Springs Sentinel Record in Hot Springs. He earned a journalism degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
Jeff was a published author, having written and published many books. He attended Bismarck Pentecostal Church and was a member of the Hot Springs Village Players.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Warren Smith; his parents, Emma Jean and Vernon Durand Smith of Sheridan; he was a special grandfather to Austin Warren and Sarah Warren; was also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, October 17th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Pastor Van Glidewell officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
