Jeanne Wilson Taylor, age 79, of Rosboro, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
She was born on September 1, 1942, in Amity, the daughter of Dewey Preston Wilson and Charlene Conine Wilson. On August 16, 1963, she married John Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Charles Preston ‘Slim’ Wilson.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; two daughters, Jalyn Hopper of Glenwood and Jacynda (Paul) Smith of Rosboro; five grandchildren, Colt Hays, Caleigh Golden, James Mitchell, Cullen Smith, and Conner Smith; and two great-grandchildren,
Holli and Rylee Golden.
She is also survived by many friends she acquired during her 34 years of teaching at Wynne, Caddo Hills, Glenwood, and Amity; and also special friends, Winnie Runyan and June Harter.
Her family wishes to express their great appreciation to her caregiver, Autumn Fagan.
Jeanne was a member of Glenwood First Baptist Church, where she worked in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, shopping, cookbooks, and her family.
No services are planned.
Her final resting place will be at Jones Cemetery, Amity.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any elementary school library in her memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.
