Jean Earnhart Fitzhugh Pettit of North Little Rock, passed away on July 7, 2012. She was born March 4, 1926 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Earl "Bud" Mara and Irma Dollar-Mara. Jean began her career with the North Little Rock School District. She retired after thirty-nine years. Jean loved her career and touched many hearts along the way. Jean graduated from North Little Rock High school, as did her four children. She loved the city of North Little Rock and was proud to call it her home. Jean attended Faith Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her parents Bud & Irma Mara, her grandparents Bill & Delia Dollar & Mr. & Mrs. William Mara, a brother Billy Earl Mara, who died at birth, husband Dwight Earnhart and husband Guy "Skeet" Fitzhugh, grandson Troy "PeeWee" Barnhart and son -in-law T.J. Barnhart. Survivors include husband Bud Pettit of England, Arkansas; children Dwight "Bubbie" Earnhart (Peggy) of North Little Rock, Linda Barnhart of North Little Rock, Debbie Crosland Earnhart of North Little Rock and Becky Earnhart Scott (Thomas) of North Little Rock, grandchildren Kelley Foster (Jeff), Tommy Scott (Holly) of Sherwood, Donnie Barnhart (Jabetta) of North Little Rock, Josh Earnhart (Traci) of Little Rock, Rikki Mara Ratliff (Brian) of North Little Rock & Chance Eugene Crosland of North Little Rock. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Hunter & Madison Foster, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Nicholas & Lindsey Scott. Taylor, Tanner & Tara Barnhart & Wesley & Braxton Ratliff. She is also survived by Teresa Fitzhugh Allred (Roger) of Mayflower and Lynn Fitzhugh of Monticello, children of Guy Fitzhugh and also by Allison Allred, Melody Caffey (Gordon), Blake Allred & Lynn Fitzhugh & grandchildren Chloe & Christopher Caffey grandchildren of Guy Fitzhugh. She is also survived by Larry Pettit of North Little Rock, Gary Pettit of England, Mary Jane McKnight of Little Rock, Alice of Springfield, Missouri, children of Bud Pettit. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. both at Huson Funeral Home Chapel, 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120 with burial following at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 109 Tanglewood Dr., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
