Jean D. Harvin, 79, of Little Rock, widow of Bill Harvin, died on Saturday, March 24, 2007. She is survived by her son, Conrad Harvin and soulmate, Chris Cox, and her daughter and son-in-love, Bobbie Harvin and Edward Chess; brother, Gordon Deats; sister, Sue Koester; and numerous nieces. She was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church and enjoyed volunteer work, having been honored by the Black Community Developers with the Black Humanitarian Award.
There will be visitation on Friday, March 30, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. A Celebration service will be held at Hunter United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. on March 31, officiated by the Reverends Melvin Moss, Betsy Singleton and Betty Scull. Memorials may be made to Hunter United Methodist Church.
