Janice Clay Webb

Janice Clay Hammons Webb, 81, of Maumelle passed away August 20, 2022.  She was born in Rondo, AR, on December 10, 1940, to the late Ivon Ulie Clay and Robbie Rogene Howard Clay, the youngest of three children. She retired after many years working in various customer service roles. Janice loved much and received much love in return and her family has great peace knowing she - mom, sister, cousin, aunt, Nana, and friend, is resting in the arms of Jesus.

She loved her family and community tremendously. She was a member of Forrest City First Baptist Church, the Forrest City Jaycettes, the Forrest City Junior Auxiliary, and a fabulous bridge club. She attended every childhood event she could and spent countless Thursday and Friday nights at ballgames where her daughters cheered and twirled, many Saturdays in the gym for twirling competitions, and endless summer days on the softball fields, even stepping up as coach when one was needed.

Janice treasured every family gathering, large or small, and almost all included at least one huge outbreak of laughter, many of those made while sitting around the table. She was very, very proud of her children and grandchildren and felt so blessed to become a great-grandmother. Janice had only recently moved to Maumelle, AR., and looked forward to reconnecting with high school and college friends.

Her passion for giving in life continues in death as, through Arora, she has donated tissue that can be used for burn victims and others in need of skin grafts.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Alicia (Scott) Davis of Maumelle, Haley (Chris) Ervin of Collierville, TN; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (RJ) Druien of Melissa, TX, Eli Ervin of Collierville, TN, and Candace (Chris) Benham of Benton, AR; great-grandchildren Sage and Charlie Druien and Gaven Benham; brothers, Franklin (Carol) Clay of Winnsboro, LA and Leon (Martha Jane) Clay of Tupelo, MS, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and, in-laws, as well as her precious fur-baby, Bella. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Carroll Webb, and her parents.

The family will host a private celebration of life for Janice in October 2022 in Collierville, TN.
