Janice Louise Mobbs

Janice Louise Coleman Mobbs, age 70, of Benton, AR graduated into heaven on December 8, 2022. She was born to Clyde and Veda Coleman on December 12, 1951 in San Antonio, TX. Jan is survived by her husband, Lonnie, her stepson, Chris, her stepdaughter, Ashley, all of Benton, AR, stepdaughter, Nicole and three grandchildren of England, AR, by her brother and
sister-in-law, Curtis and Kathryn Coleman of Little Rock, AR, and by many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jan loved animals, especially puppies and horses. She would have been happy spending her life as a cowgirl in West Texas. She was always a champion of the “underdog,” those under-served or with limited abilities. She was a graduate of Conway High School and the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR, and she earned a Masters in Social Work from Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY. Jan worked for 20 years as a Primary Therapist for Birch Tree Communities on Benton, AR, a community based, nonprofit program serving adults with serious mental illness. Jan was a gifted musician and loved playing the piano and guitar.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held on Saturday, December 17, at 11:00 am at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court in Little Rock.
