Janice Ferguson
Janice Bell Ward Ferguson, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord on December 19, 2016. She was born in Little Rock on April 7, 1929 to Roy E. Bell and Willie Quinn Bell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Robert D. Ward and Cleve Ferguson, her brothers, Roy Q. Bell and William (Billy) E. Bell.
She will be missed by her son and family, David Ward (Tracy) and her adored granddaughters, Hannah Grace Ward and Ashely Lynn Ward; her niece, Deborah Bell Paseur; and her nephew, Roy Q. Bell, Jr. She will also be missed by another niece, Carolyn B. Rogers, nephew, Keith W. Bell, and several grand-nieces and nephews.
Janice was an administrative secretary for 42 years to several executives at Braniff Airways, Arkansas Power & Light and the Little Rock School District. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, having joined November 5, 1939. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother and wife. She attended Ouachita Baptist University and Baylor University where she was a member of both schools' choirs. Janice also enjoyed singing and line dancing with a group who performed in nursing homes every week for over 7 years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Rick Jaggars, followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
