Janet Robinson Vinson, 81, of North Little Rock, wife of Harry Linn Vinson, died peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2017 surrounded by friends and family. She was born January 15, 1936 in Cabot, Arkansas to the late Leslie Arthur and Bernice Virginia Burks Robinson. Mrs. Vinson lived the majority of her life in North Little Rock. She enjoyed an extensive career with North Little Rock School District and retired after over 20 years of service. She loved needle work, crotchet, and picture puzzles. A lifelong Arkansas Razorback fan, Mrs. Vinson is survived by her husband of 56 years, sister, Gail Robinson Utley (Ray) of Houston, Texas; daughters, Leslie Lynn Erstine (Kelley) of Conway and Vicki Jan Jones (John) of North Little Rock; son, Jay Bruce Vinson (Kathleen) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Ashleigh Elizabeth Erstine Nash (Tony) of Fort Bliss, Texas, Jessica Lynnanne Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Vinson Joseph Jones of Fayetteville, Madison Allyse Erstine of Conway, Whit Miller Vinson, of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Garland Kathleen Vinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and one great-granddaughter, Maddox Ann Nash of Fort Bliss, Texas.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Cemetery, P.O. Box 1092, Cabot, Arkansas 72032.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her favorite restaurant, Georgia's Gyros, 2933 Lakewood Village Drive in North Little Rock.
