Janet Goodman

Janet Elsie Brauning Goodman, 90, of Zanesville, Ohio, joined her beloved husband, EJ Goodman and son, Craig Goodman in heaven on June 27, 2021, with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Goodman Craft, her sister, Nancy Brauning Coble and numerous nieces and nephews.

It will be difficult to describe my mother in words.  Mother had physical beauty but her true beauty was found within from her love of all, her laughter, loyalty, and kindness. Some would describe her as a follower. She was a life-long follower of her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. She followed my father around, with not one complaint, to all the places dad was stationed while in the United State Air Force. But mother was also a strong leader, especially when it involved her family. She led us to know what true unconditional love was all about. She led us to know it was not where you lived that was important but HOW you lived. The curl and ruthless disease of dementia stole the last serval years of her life, but her inner love and kindness never wavered. If you know someone who is suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s, give them an extra hug from Janet. She would like that.

Graveside service will be held 12:00 pm, Monday, July 12, 2021, at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
