Janet Furrow

Janet Furrow, 60, passed away on October 29th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. 

She is preceded in death by her grandfather John Hammons, grandmother Minnie Ethel Hammons Brown, mother Patricia Lou Moore, step father Louis Maurice Moore, brother Ricky Jean Ingram, brother Michael Ray Ingram, sister Anastasia Ingram Troy, and many aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband Robert Furrow of twenty-one years; children, Emily Moore, Jonah Moore, Nina Furrow, Dylan Olscwa; grandchildren, Arthur Fidder Moore, Donna Moore, Charlie Moore, Lona Simmons, Ariana Olscwa; brothers and sisters, Jimmy Dale Ingram, Vickie Ingram, Carol Ingram, William Ingram, Michael Bo Ingram, James Dean “Dino” Ingram; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Janet was born in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas, grew up in Jacksonville, Arkansas, and graduated from Jacksonville High School. She is remembered as a force to be reckoned with, and her strength was unparalleled. She loved fiercely. Her laughter echoed the hallways and shook the walls. Her hugs were warm and generous. She always had something to say about something, and she enjoyed sharing those opinions as loudly as possible. Janet lived her life loudly, colorfully, and unapologetically. Everyone that knew her is left with at least one scandalous Janet story and a list of uniquely helpful life advice. Her absence is felt profoundly. As we reflect on her memory, she would not want us to take a moment of tear-filled silence. She would expect us to talk loudly, hug tightly, and laugh until it hurts.
