Janelle Jean Widel

Janelle Jean Widel (Lukas) 53, of Benton passed from this world suddenly on Tuesday, March 25th. She leaves behind husband, David Widel; devoted daughter Jade Widel (Dahlem), Sons Jacob and Lance Wells, granddaughter Felicity, sister Regina Driggers, brother Christopher Drake, and her mother, RoseMarie Drake. As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was Preceded in death by her father, Robert R. Lukas Jr, Grandparents Robert and Glendola Lukas and Anthony and Florence Baka of Hot Springs.

Janelle graduated in 1989 from the former J.A. Fair High School where she acted as the school mascot and completed some AP classes. She was currently a member of Christ Little Rock Church where she often sang in the choir. Before her retirement she most recently worked in retail at Kohls and Hobby Lobby. She enjoyed floral arranging, cooking, sewing, and gardening. She loved her family and friends and was always there to help, to listen and to provide her wit, compassion, and infectious smile. She organized many parties and engaged in volunteer work through work and church. She will be sadly missed.

To honor the amazing wife, mother, daughter, and friend Janelle was, a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Christ Little Rock Church, 315 S. Hughes St., Little Rock, AR 72205. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her life, and the undeniable mark that she left on this world.
