Jane "Tootie" Johnson Higgins, age 71, passed away November 8, 2011, at UAMS in Little Rock.
She was born on October 10, 1940, in Traskswood, AR to parents David and Ruby Johnson. Mrs. Higgins is survived by three sons: James Ray Higgins and wife Mitzi of Benton, Paul Douglas Higgins and wife Betty of Benton and Charles Kenneth Higgins and wife Jessica of Benton; two daughters: Karen Renee Sutton and husband Mark of Memphis, TN and Wendy Renee Louquet and husband Ryan of Benton; one brother Johnny Johnson; three sisters: Elsie Lawrence, Lottie Stewart and Shirley Johnson. Also surviving Tootie are her grandchildren: Kristen, Brittany, Paula, Steven, Star, Melissa, Allen and Jennifer as well as numerous great-grandchildren and many friends and other family members. Tootsie's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and playing BINGO. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years James Kenneth Higgins, one son Donald David Higgins, brothers Skeet and Buster Johnson, sister Betty Burnett and grandchildren Jonathan and David as well as former daughter-in-law Deborah Kay Higgins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday November 10, 2011 at 2 pm at Social Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home.
