Jamie Brunt

Jamie Brunt, age 68, of Maumelle, died Thursday, April 19, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1944 at Black Springs, the son of Sherman Brunt and Cora Barnett Brunt. On December 31, 1966, he was married to Carol Waggoner. He was preceded in death by two infant sons; his brother, Tommy Brunt; and his sister, Carolyn Isom. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp, Third Recon, in Vietnam. He retired from Entergy and later was self employed as a power industry consultant. With a strong belief in education, he received his Bachelors degree from Arkansas College, now Lyon College, and his MBA from the University of Central Arkansas. He was a Baptist in his faith. Survivors include his wife, Carol Brunt of Maumelle; two daughters, Amy Brunt and her husband, Robert Airo, of North Little Rock and Dake Brunt of Little Rock; his grandson, Caleb Brunt; and his brother, Dewayne Brunt of Glenwood. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
