James "Jimmy" Fletcher Sr.

James “Jimmy” Douglas Fletcher Sr., 75, of Benton, Arkansas passed away November 14, 2021. Jimmy was born January 29, 1946 to the late Louis and Emogene (Ballard) Fletcher.

Jimmy worked at Affiliated Foods for several years.  He brought joy to everyone’s life and loved everyone.  Jimmy would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  He enjoyed spending time with his family. Jimmy was surrounded by a host of V.A. home-based care that cared and loved him over the last several years. He loved his grandchildren and grand-fur babies.

Jimmy is survived by his sons, Doug Fletcher and wife, Becky of Malvern and Harold Fletcher and wife, Lori of Benton; daughter, Sherri McCallister and husband, Jerrel of Benton; son-in-love, Scott Haywood and wife, Sherry of Benton; daughter-in-love, Michelle Slate of Benton; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends that will miss him dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to Home Based Primary Care for Veterans that need assistance.

Visitation is from 10:00- 11:00 AM, Monday, November 22 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home followed by a memorial service.
