James "Jim" Young

James “Jim” Young, 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 21, 2022. Jim was born December 2, 1942, in New York City. He had been a resident of Little Rock since 1975.
Jim was a volunteer police officer for the city of Bloomingdale, N.J. He took great pride in his career as an engineer for AT&T until he retired at the age of 56. Jim loved coaching soccer, fishing, traveling and reading. He was able to maintain his independence until the last few months of his life, in which he was able to remain in his home.
He was preceded in death by his life partner of 25 years, Jane Fisher; mother, Esther Young; and his brothers Eddie Collins and Donald Young. He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Bullington and her husband, Tom; his son, Jimmy Young and his wife, Carrie; and three grandchildren he adored more than anything: Sarah Dean (Jacob), Thomas Bullington, and Kaitlyn Kronberg. One nephew Patrick Young and wife Cristi; and two nieces Jennifer Pawlowski and husband John, and Rosemary Whitright and husband James.
A visitation will be held April 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Little Rock.
