James Woods
James C. Woods Sr. age 89 of Arkadelphia died Friday, March 12, 2010 in Arkadelphia. He was born in Dallas County December 8, 1920 the son of Clyde and Vergie Langley Woods.
He was a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, and a member of the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Janice Swearingen Woods, one son, James C. Woods Jr. and his wife Janie of Hot Springs and one granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Leigh Woods and her husband Alan Zidek of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday, March 14, 2010 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Brother Gary Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the DeLamar Cemetery near Manning, AR. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be to the DeLamar Cemetery c/o Irma Denton, 2228 North Hwy 7, Sparkman, AR 71763.
