James C. Witcher died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Franklin Witcher, and his mother, Ruby Mateer Jukes.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy J. (Herndon) Witcher, and seven children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who provided his greatest joy in life. He will forever be remembered for his unconditional love and support for his family. He shared his love for motorcycles, fishing and great food. His loss will be felt at all those football, soccer, basketball and softball games that he had yet to see played, the motorcycle that sits unridden and by the fish that remain uncaught at Mountain View. We love you and will see you again.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner of I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Arkansas Baptist School system.
