James Allen Washington

James Allen Washington, 78, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away April 13, 2025. He was born July 12, 1946, in Benton, Arkansas to the late Louie and Modean Washington.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 35 years, Joyce Langston. James is survived by his sister, Mary Lou Tyrone and brother, John Washington (Karen); son, Rick Langston (Teresa); granddaughters, Jennifer Schelkopf, Alexandra Langston, Samantha and Jessica Langston; nephews, Paul Tyrone and Kevin Washington; nieces, Logan Arnold and Carly Tyrone; great-niece, Saylor Arnold; along with a host of family and friends.

James retired from Timex as an electronic technician after 42 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially loved traveling across the country with Joyce. James served four years in the United States Marines.

James loved to be around the fire pit at the White River with Ben Evans, John Mayfield and friends. What happened at the White River around the fire pit, stayed at the White River. :)

Visitation will be from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
