James Vess
James Carl Vess, 96, was born February 2, 1918 in Little Rock and died Tuesday, January 06, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Florence Vess.
He is survived by two children, Stuart Vess and wife, Rita of Scott and Cherry Smith of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Erika Hoffman and husband Michael, Robert L. Smith III, Jennifer Wilson and husband Perry; and Andrew Vess; and two great-grandchildren, Myers and Hannah Hoffman.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Little Rock and spent his career in the banking industry.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 62 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72212 or to Baptist Health Hospice, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Suite 2000, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday at First Baptist Church in Little Rock. A private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
