James Eldon Turner

He is survived by his wife, Holly Love Turner; his sister Cathy Turner Neal (Randy); his two stepsons Zach and Kurt Ehemann; his grandchildren Sheybre Ehemann, Jadyn Davis, Karter and Emalyn Ehemann; his niece, Taylor Neal Gibson (Seth); and special family friends JC and Cliff Marsh; and Cliff’s son JC James Marsh (Jimmy’s namesake); and his precious cat, Pookie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clayton L. and Helen J. Turner, and his sister, Carolyn Turner Wilcox. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends who he always held in high regard.

Jimmy’s love of music started early when he picked up a ukulele at age 3 to irritate his sister, Carolyn. He grew up to become a gifted musician who could play any instrument, and was a member of various bands throughout his life. When not playing professionally, Jimmy also enjoyed investing in the stock market.

The visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock on Thursday, September 8^th, at 4:00pm, with the service following at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dorcas House for battered women and children (823 S Park St, Little Rock, AR 72202).
