James Woodrow Stanley, 95, of North Little Rock passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. He was a retired owner/operator of several Exxon Service Stations in Central Arkansas, a member of North Little Rock Civic Club, a 32nd Degree Mason and served in Italy in the 10th Mountain Division in World War II.
He is survived by two sons, James W. Stanley, Jr., of Conway and Tracy M. Stanley and his wife, Mary of North Little Rock; sister, Sadie Ring and her husband, Ralph of Cleveland, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Katricia Mathis, Millie Mathis, Barbara Carreras, Lynette Ginn, James Michael Stanley and Karen Case; ten great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren, five nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine (Lawson) Stanley; his parents; two sisters and one brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Association, 200 River Market Drive, Ste. 100, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.
Interment will be 10:00 a.m., Monday at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
