James Edward Stacks, 67, of Sherwood went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2006. Born September 5, 1939 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Omer and Florene Stacks. James was a Veteran of the Air National Guard and U.S. Navy. He worked as a Master Mechanic and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Greystone Country Club and loved to play golf with his sons. He was a very loving father and devoted son, taking special care of his mother. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood. His father Omer preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Florene Stacks of Sherwood, and three sons: Tim Woodard; James Stacks II of Jacksonville and wife Sherri; John Stacks of Sherwood and wife Sharon; his beloved Pepe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
Memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with a 1:00 P.M. burial at Plumerville Cemetery.
