James Troy Sims, age 61 of Arkadelphia died Monday, Nov. 27, 2006. He was born April 16, 1945 in Gurdon, AR the son of the late Buddy and Evie Lois Keeling Sims. He was an electrician, a Baptist and a Vietnam Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lou Hathcock Sims; a son, Larry W. Clark of Arkadelphia; one daughter, Priscilla Kay Hudnall of Arkadelphia; his step-mother, Pearl Sims of Arkadelphia; five brothers, Marvin Sims of Jacksonville, AR, Leon, Willie, Elbert and David Sims all of Bastrop, LA; four sisters, Annie Mae Elmore of Bay Cliff, TX, Elizabeth Hawkins of Ozone, AR, Florence Sims of Shaturp, LA, and Joyce Tyson of Bastrop, La; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov 30, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the Gilchrist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jason Hudnall, Phillip Tucker, Dustin Sims, James Brown, Ray Tyson, and Larry Clark.
