James Settle, Jr.

James Raymond Settle Jr., 62, of Sherwood passed from this life on June 23, 2021 at his home. He was born September 16, 1958 in Little Rock, Arkansas. James gave his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at a young age. His faith and trust in the Lord were the foundation upon which he built his life. He graduated from Old Main High School in 1976 and started Settle Office Products in 1982. He operated the business until his retirement in early 2021.He was an avid deer hunter and sports fan. He loved baseball and spent many years working in the baseball programs at Burns Park. The Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals were among his favorite teams. James was also a member of the Optimists Club. He will always be remembered as a faithful and loving, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all who were blessed to know him.

Survivors include his parents, James and Carol Settle of Sherwood; son, Zach and wife Shana of Sherwood; grandchildren, Harper and Shelbi Settle; sister, Lisa Brewer and husband Jeff of Sherwood; nephews, Jared Selby and wife Sami of Wynne and Josh Selby of Sherwood.  Other survivors include a host of extended family and dear friends.

At James’ request there will be no services at this time.
