James F. Seel

James F. Seel, age 84, of Hot Springs Village, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

He was born on February 4, 1938, in Minturn, the son of Mack Val Seel and Minnie Viola Keith Seel.  On May 24, 1973, he married the love of his life, Eloise Lira.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

James served his country in the United States Army National Guard.  During his working career he worked as a rice farmer with his father, a mechanic for Malone's Exxon Service Station, manager of an orange grove in Phoenix, Arizona, attendant for a stockyard, pulp wood hauler, tow truck driver and then worked for Black Mesa Pipe Line for 31 years in Arizona.  You could say he was a hardworking man.  He did all that for his family because they came first, and he was their rock.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Eloise Seel; two daughters, Pamela Seel and Sheryl Adams and husband, Mark; grandchildren Clint, Clif, Jamie and Ronnie; eleven great-grandchildren; his four fur babies; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial service 10:00AM, February 11, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.
