James Russell "Bubba" Edens, Jr., age 41, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.
He was born on April 16, 1980, in El Dorado, the son of James Russell Edens, Sr. and Donna Rose Barnett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles M. and Edna E. Edens and Doyle Sellers.
He was an experienced boat mechanic and was employed for several years with Futrell Marine in Hot Springs. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball and was always an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf, but Bubba's greatest joy in life was making his family and friends laugh. He will forever be remembered for his humorous personality.
Bubba is survived by his father and stepmother, Jim and Lori Edens of Hot Springs; his mother, Donna Barnett of Glenwood; his son, Ethan Edens of Kirby; the mother of his son, Jamie Duggan of Kirby; his wife, Alyssa Edens of Hot Springs; his grandmother, Jean Sellers of Crossett; his sister and brother-in-law, Jeanie and Charley Wootten of Amity; his brother and sister-in-law, Jordan and Karissa Edens of Hot Springs; two nieces, Jenna Duvall and Jayda Duvall; two nephews, Jeremy "JoJo" Duvall and Kayson Edens; and numerous other extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 29, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Pastor Teddy Frye officiating.
