James Renfrow

James Irion Renfrow, 88, beloved husband, daddy, and pawpa, left peacefully Sunday morning, January 20, 2013. Born in 1924 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Bertha Renfrow, sister, Velma Renfrow, brothers, Bill and Bob Renfrow of Oklahoma and Roy Renfrow of Malvern, and his son, Jim Renfrow of Bentonville.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, A. Nadine Renfrow; his daughter, Jan Briggs (Thomas); daughter-in-law, Cherie Renfrow; four grandchildren, Jimmy Renfrow (Chantal), Jason Renfrow (Shawnn), Keith Briggs (Angela), and Gesula Briggs; eight great-grandchildren and two cousins.
James served in the Army Air Force in World War II. He lived and worked in Oklahoma City, Fort Smith, Muskogee and Little Rock, retiring from Kroger Management. He was active for many years in his church, Trinity United Methodist, was an avid mall walker and made many friends.
A special thank you to the staff of Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehab for their loving care.
Services will be Wednesday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Betsy Singleton Snyder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church at 1101 Mississippi, Little Rock, AR 72207.
