James Robert Moseley, Jr., 85, of Little Rock, passed away May 28, 2020. He was born April 22, 1935 to Dr. and Mrs. James Robert Moseley, Sr. He was graduated from Ketterlinus High School, St Augustine, Florida and continued his education at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia with a BS Biology and Chemistry in 1957 and was a Sigma Chi. His summers as a youth were spent doing what he loved the most being a lifeguard on the beaches of St. Augustine. Jim began his career with Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1958 and served in various regional and executive management roles for over 36 years. In 1993 he went to work for Metropolitan National Bank as a Senior Vice President and after nine years he retired in 2002.
For over 40 years Jim was involved in many civic and professional activities in the Little Rock community and state of Arkansas. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Arkansas Retail Merchants Association, Better Business Bureau, and Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI); Officer for the Sales and Marketing Executives, Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Pulaski County, Good Shepherd Ecumenical Retirement Center and President of Rotary Club 99 in 1989 and a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served as an Officer and Vice President of Pleasant Valley Country Club and a member of the SEF Investment Club and Table of Knowledge.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Moseley Young, Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Paula Trible Moseley; children, Margaret Trible Moseley of Maumelle, James Robert Moseley III (Dayna) of Nashville, Tennessee, George Garrett Moseley (Ellen) and Julie Muse Moseley, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; his twin sister, Julia Moseley Lamson-Scribner of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, James Robert Moseley IV (Macie), Curtis Matthew Moseley, Ellen Ambler Moseley and Margaret Trible Moseley, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. A true southern gentleman that always had a smile on his face and will be missed by all that have ever met the "Mose".
A family service was held in the Treadway Garden of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral on June 1, 2020 and a memorial service will be held at a later date. He was devoted to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and was active in many facets of the church including serving as Senior Warden.
