James M. Holdman, age 60 of Benton, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at his home in Benton. Mr. Holdman was born on August the 13th 1949 in Paris, Texas to parents, James Monroe Holdman and Edna M. Johnson. He was retired from UPS. One of Mr. Holdman's greatest pleasures was being with his children; he thoroughly enjoyed being retired, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He proudly served our county in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mike was fondly known as "REDDOG" to his many friends and family members.
Survivors include his mother, Edna M. Johnson of Malvern, two sons, Adam Holdman and wife, Danielle, Casey Holdman and wife Tiffany all of Benton. one daughter, Brandy Jackson of Benton, two sisters, Chris Standridge and husband, Roger of Magnet Cove, and Florene Vining and husband Larry of Bastrop, Louisiana, one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Holdman, step-father, J.W. Johnson and a sister, Lorene Brown.
Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Burrell Crabtree officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Interment will be held Mt. Harmony Cemetery in Haskell, Arkansas with full military honors by VFW Post 2278 of Hot Springs, AR.
The family has requested that donations for the service cost be made to Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in lieu of flowers.
