James Lackey

James R. Lackey, age 64 years old of North Little Rock, passed away on January 24th, 2016 with his loving wife beside him. He was born on April 27th, 1951 in Kennett, Missouri; he was the son of Harmon R. and Juanita Lackey.

James was retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of Centennial Country Club, B&C Hunting Club. He enjoyed golfing, boating at Greers Ferry Lake, duck and deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harmon R. and Juanita Lackey.

Survivors include his wife Darlene Lackey, daughters Jamie (Steven) Brown and Angela (Mike) Owen and three grandsons Hunter, Kade, and Jax; one brother David Lackey, two sisters Doris Walker, Linda Farris and his best friend Max, a Westie.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff on the 10th floor at Baptist Health - Little Rock. Their compassion and tender care was very much appreciated and will not be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, January 28th, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27th, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Huson Funeral Home in Sherwood.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Baptist Health Foundation-Cancer Center.
