James Hugh Kimbrough, Sr., 76, of Scott, went home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2019. Born at Woodson, Arkansas to J. H. Kimbrough and Opel Brown Collins, he worked in commercial insulation and was a member of Local 10 Heat and Frost Insulators Union. He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and his wife of 33 years, Linda Smith Kimbrough, and siblings, Gary Kimbrough, Danny Kimbrough and Debra Kindy.
He is survived by his sons, James Hugh Kimbrough, Jr. (Melissa) of Oklahoma City, Jerry Kimbrough (Tanya) of Winder, Georgia and John Kimbrough (Angie) of Little Rock; step-daughters, LynAnne Ivy (Russell) of Lonoke and Holly Hutcheson (Clint) of Benton; brothers, Kenny Kimbrough (Sherry) and David Collins; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also grandpa to Eva, Jud and Lucy Seib.
Jimmy attended Fuller High School, but graduated from Lassen High School in Susanville, California in 1960. He was an insulator for 40 plus years for Local 10 Heat & Frost Insulators Union, where he was also business agent. He enjoyed his Sunday School Class and weekly men's Bible study group from All Souls Church in Scott, and cooking out with his neighbors at the lake. Jimmy loved playing golf and spending time with his friends and family.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at All Souls Church, 4601 Walkers Corner Rd., Scott, AR 72142. Memorials may be made to CARTI, 8901 Carti Way, Little Rock, AR 72205.
