James J. Kelly, 88, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Sertoma and formerly of Toastmasters Civic Clubs. James was owner and manager of a grocery store and apartment building. He was a friendly person with a contagious smile and always had a hand shake ready for his friends and acquaintances.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joy Kelly; two daughters, Janet McKeown (Kelly) and husband Rick of Clifton Park, New York, Sandra Holewinski and husband Stan of Florida; two sons, Ronnie Kelly of Lake Port, California and George Kelly; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Jones and Sybil Ferrell both of Harrison, Arkansas; two brothers Billy W. Kelly and wife Tiny of Oklahoma, Doug Kelly and wife Marie of Marshallfield, Missouri. James was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Kelly; two brothers, Rayburn and Bobby Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. in Cotton Plant Memorial Cemetery.
