James "Jimmy" David Fitzgibbon, Jr.

James "Jim” Fitzgibbon, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, just days shy of his 70th birthday. Born on December 10, 1954, Jim exemplified a life defined by service, dedication, and unconditional love for his family.

Before embarking on a career as a commercial electrician in 1978, Jimmy honorably served in the Navy from 1974 to 1977. His commitment to excellence in his work earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, culminating in his retirement from the trade in 2007.

Family was paramount in Jim's life. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandi Fitzgibbon, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they nurtured their daughter, Angie Chism, and welcomed her husband, Steve, into their family. A proud grandfather, Jim cherished his granddaughter, Curry Aquilino, and was a proud great-grandfather to, Michael and Joseph.

He is also survived by his sister, Belinda Todd, and her husband Aaron; his brother, Roger Fitzgibbon, and his wife Brenda; and his sister-in-law, Lynette Fitzgibbon. Jim's extended family includes many loving nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory forward.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Dorothy Fitzgibbon; his grandson, Joseph Aquilino, who was the "light of his life"; and his brother, John Fitzgibbon. The loss of these cherished family members left a significant mark on his heart, yet he continued to radiate love and kindness throughout his life.

Jim's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His gentle spirit, unwavering love for his family, and dedication to his work will be remembered fondly by friends and family alike.
