James Henry

James Henry

James Dale Henry born 8/31/61 peacefully left this earth on January 18, 2019. A class of 1979, Little Rock Central High Graduate, he is survived by his spouse, his high school sweetheart, to whom he has been married to for 38 years, Paula (Kusturin) Henry.  They were blessed with 2 amazing children that he was so proud of, a son, James "Brad" Henry, of Midland TX and a daughter, Katelann Michelle Henry of Maumelle AR. He was also blessed with a feline fur child, Houston "Buddy" Henry, who was his constant companion. He had two sisters, Sheila (Raymond) Jackson and Denise Gray.

Employed for many years in the food service industry, he worked for several notable companies; Coca-Cola , Ben E Keith Food Services, Sysco of Arkansas , Performance Food Group & Conway Freight.  He shared many hobbies with his family with his favorites being Bristol Motor Speedway and the vast majority of dirt race tracks in the state of Arkansas.  He even enjoyed many races of his own, once managing to get 2 speeding tickets 13 minutes apart, but most of
all he loved to share rides on his trike with his beloved Paula. He also enjoyed fishing and the Arkansas Razorback football games but always said he could count on them to let everyone down, saying they always choked and couldn't even manage to beat LR Central high. This was mostly said to annoy his son.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Henry and his mother, Mary Dean Parker, and Bit Bit Henry.

Not only was he a loving husband, father and friend, he was the go to guy, never meeting a stranger, and always possessing a zest for life with a mouth that could not be controlled.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make any donations to Toys for Tots or Arkansas Children's Hospital in honor of Keagan Provost, his inspiration and favorite "little warrior".
