James Heavner

James Eugene Heavner, 51, of Little Rock went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 27, 2008 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on February 13, 1957 in Mishawaka, Indiana, the second of four sons born to the late William and Louise Heavner. He grew up in North Little Rock and after serving 4 years in the Marine Corps settled in the Landmark Community of South Pulaski County. James became an Eagle Scout at the age of 15. He loved animals and was an avid deer hunter. He also enjoyed watching old movies and old television shows. James was a craftsman working with plastics and as a tool and dye maker employed with Dassault Falcon Jet.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pamela A. Heavner, of Little Rock; two brothers, John Heavner and his wife Loretta of Hensley and Michael Heavner and his wife Kristi of Mablevale; his in-laws, George and Charlene Frampton of Little Rock; four nephews, William Heavner, III, Thomas Heavner, Chad Heavner and Alexander Heavner; four nieces, Tina Baldridge, Bailey Heavner, Hannah Heavner and Haleigh Heavner. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Heavner, Jr. and Louise Heavner, a brother, Paran Heavner, and a nephew Joshua Andrew Heavner.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 5519 Atwood Road, Little Rock. Burial will be in Woodson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
