James Franklin Orr age 72 of Bismarck died Thursday, November 25, 2010 in Hot Springs. He was born February 21, 1938 the son of James Woodrow and Ruthell Allen Orr. He and his wife owned and operated Orr's One Stop in Bismarck for many years and later Allen's TV and Appliance Center in Arkadelphia. James was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Carrol Orr. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Tom Hollis Sr., Dr. Tom Hollis Jr. and Tammy Parker for their excellent care and friendship during James' illness.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Glenna Orr; two sons, Randy Orr and his fiancé Sandie Whisenant of Bismarck; Tony Orr and his wife Kelly of Little Rock; one daughter Leadra Orr of Hot Springs; one brother Wayman Orr and his wife Penne of Bismarck; five grandchildren, Amy Majors, Wesley Williams, Andrew Orr, Slade Yarbrough and Jillian Orr; two great grandchildren; Stone Majors and Rylee Orr.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, November 29, in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Morrison officiating with burial in the DeRoche Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Pallbearers will be Randy Orr, Bruce Orr, Andrew Orr, Gentry Ford, Wesley Williams, Slade Yarbrough and Culley Majors. Honorary pallbearers are Wallis Callaway, Jackie Lea, Dr. Tom Hollis Sr., Dr. Tom Hollis Jr., and Tammy Parker.
