James E. Foster, 95, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday evening at his home.
He was born in Poinsett County August 23, 1910 to the late William Clinton Foster and Francis Ann Raines. Mr. Foster was a long-time member of First Gospel Church and built his life around God?s work. He was retired from Timex Corporation where he served as President of Union Local 925 for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Lillie Elizabeth Wheaton and one son, Leon Foster of Corning. He is survived by one daughter-in-law, Bonnie Foster; one son, James L. Foster, wife Betty; three daughters, Ann L. Wilson, husband Conrad, Irma Jane Mathis, husband Duell, Sue Thomas, husband A.O.; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Gospel Church with Rev. Glenn Winnegar and Rev. Ronald Metheny officiating. Interment will follow at Ivy Chapel Cemetery.
