James “Ed” Coffman, age 76, of Royal, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021.
He was born on August 27, 1944, in Hopper, the son of Loyd Coffman and Virgie Walker Coffman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Truman Coffman.
He was a minister of the Church of Christ for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting, taking care of his hunting dogs and mowing the yard. He loved his family and was known as a people person.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Coffman of Royal; three children, Angie Holbrook of Washington, DC, Michael Coffman of Chicago, Illinois and Becky Mendenhall and her husband, Jeff, of Portland, Oregon; his grandson, Adam Holbrook; and his sister-in-law, Sharron Coffman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2021, in the Hopper Cemetery with Harold Vaughn officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
