James A. Diggs age 92 of Royal, AR died Monday at his home. He was born December 1, 1917 the son of Alex and Mary Cotton Diggs. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and a member of the Piney Baptist Church near Hot Springs. Mr. Diggs was preceded in death by his wife Eutha Murchison Diggs.
Survivors include one son John Robinette and wife Janet of Royal, one sister Estine Barnes of Hammond, IN, two granddaughters, Kedron Robinette of Jonesboro and Shanon Brantley and husband Larry also of Jonesboro, three great grandchildren, Jaqulyn and Jarron Brantley and Von Hughes.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia with Brother Larry Catcher officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Larry Brantley, Jim Tallent, George Coons, Clint, Cliff, and Kenneth Murchison. Honoary pallbearers are "Saw the Light Sunday School Class".
