James David

James Earl David, 74, of Austin, Arkansas, passed away October 5, 2022. James David was better known as “James Earl” or “JED” by his friends and family. He loved being outdoors, and especially fishing. Although, you could often find him relaxing in his recliner, watching old black-and-white movies or true crime shows. He was a man of few words that had a huge heart and a quirky sense of humor. A thoughtful and wise man that could always make you laugh.

Any time he could, he was always willing to help those in need. He was one of a kind, and he will be missed immensely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Delpha David, two sisters, June David and Sue Cates, brother, Bobby David, and infant daughter, Jennifer Lea David.

Jed leaves behind two sons and two daughters, Patrick and Christopher David, Jamie Prouty, and Amber Scarborough. Sons-in-law, Chris Scarborough, and Walter Prouty, and four grandchildren, Alexandra, Jasmyn, Ian, and Logan Prouty as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
