James "JC" Cotton, 84, of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Maggie Cotton, wife, Martha Sue Cotton, daughter, Donna Wallace, brothers, Chester and Bernard Cotton and sisters, Farlides Outlaw and Dorothy Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Paula Smith and husband, Mike; son, Larry Cotton; granddaughter, Stacie Miller and husband, Steve; grandson, Chris Wallace; great-grandchildren, Karie, Andrew and Mason Miller; sisters Betty Keen and husband, Harold and Jeanette Rambin and husband, Bob; and long time family friend, John Penny.
JC loved the horse races, Arkansas Razorback basketball and most of all, his children and grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Services are Thursday, February 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), followed by interment with Military Honors at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
