James Arthur Cheak

 James “Jim” Arthur Cheak, age 64, of Conway, Arkansas died peacefully at home on February 20, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1960, in Peoria Illinois, the son of Robert and Deanna Cheak.

 He married the love of his life on April 26, 1980. In his younger years, Jim enjoyed teaching dancing, playing pool, and strumming his guitar. Later in life, Jim was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished the time spent with his grandson.

 He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cheak; his son Sean Cheak and partner Jessica of Conway, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Catherine Kunz of Kitty Hawk, NC; son and daughter-in-law, James and Bethany Kunz of Columbia, MO; and grandchildren, Link Leger, Finlay, Eli, Deanie, and Teddy Kunz, and Maya and Jake Kunz.

 He is also survived by his mother, Deanna Cheak; brother, David Cheak; sister, Kristine Ladika all of Greers Ferry, AR; brother-in-law, George (Ara) Parnell; sister-in-law, Theresa Verardi; brother-in-law, David Parnell all of Springfield, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

 Jim was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his brother-in-law Charles Parnell. 

 Jim will be missed by all who loved him. He was proud to be an organ donor.
