James Lynn Carlisle, 79, of Hickory Plains, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 31, 2019. He was a retired truck driver and was known by his friends and co-workers as “Catfish”.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Carlisle; a brother, Morris Carlisle, two sisters, Margie Speight and Camilla Ferguson; one son, Keith Carlisle and wife Tisa;
daughter Lea Ann Evans and husband Terry; daughter-in-law Leann Carlisle; stepdaughters Carla Long, and Cindy Seevers and husband Keith; six grandchildren, Casey Carlisle and wife Ashley, Jordan Carlisle, Krista Carlisle, Connor Carlisle, Briley Evans and Thomas Evans; six step grandchildren, Brent Long and wife Stephanie, Billy Long, Cody Long and wife Kayla, Daniel Hart, Justin Hart and Brittany Berry; and nine step great grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents, H. B. and Elva Carlisle; two brothers, Wilford and Troy; his first wife Betty; and son Calvin Carlisle.

Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2019, at Hickory Plains United Methodist Church, with burial in Hickory Plains Cemetery.
