James Floyd Bryant

James Floyd Bryant, age 79, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

He was born on April 27, 1943, in Amity, the son of Floyd William Bryant and Lottie Still Bryant.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Joann Bryant and Barbara Inlow .

He loved his family and friends and never forgot a name or birthday.  The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to James. He loved a good game of dominoes with friends and quiet afternoons watching old westerns on his TV.  His greatest love was his Razorbacks, basketball, football and baseball, and started every season certain this would be their year. James had an uncanny ability to find happiness in daily activities and his pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met. It was impossible to spend more than 5 minutes with James and not go away with a smile and a lighter heart. 

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jimmy Long of Mountain Pine; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 23, 2022, in the Golden Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and staff of Murfreesboro Nursing Home.
