James Brent "Little Fish" Fisher, 35, of North Little Rock, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008. Brent was born in Little Rock on June 30, 1973 to James Frank and Marilyn Sue Fisher. He was of the Christian faith.
He attended UALR and utilized his education in the restaurant management field, most recently at Carino's and Larry's Pizza in North Little Rock. He loved sports and movies, and was an avid Razorback fan. When Brent was a freshman at Oak Grove High School, he became interested in boxing, and after only four months, he became the state champion in his weight division. In 1998, he began participating in the Tough Man competition, where he was a runner-up in 2002 and 2004, and going on into 2005, Brent won the lightweight title and represented Arkansas at the World Championships in Connecticut.
Brent is survived by his daughters, Brianna Fisher of Conway and Aidan Fisher of Sherwood; parents, Frank "Fish" and Marilyn Fisher of No. Little Rock; grandmother, Eva Hall of Little Rock; sisters, Tammy Hatfield and her husband, Loren of Maumelle and Teri Lynn Castile of Little Rock; nephew, Jeff Hatfield and niece, Skylar Hatfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Florence Fisher and Carlee Hall.
There will be a celebration of Brent's life on Wednesday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until start of the service. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210.
