James Blaylock
After an extended illness, James Michael "Mike" Blaylock passed away on May 3, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born July 29, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jim and Jackie Blaylock. Mike graduated from Catholic High in 1967 and entered the U.S. Air Force the same year. He was a four year veteran, and then attended college in Utah. He resided in McKinney, Texas and worked for MCI for over 26 years.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Stan Blaylock. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jim and Agnes Blaylock; brothers, Terry and Chris Blaylock; sisters, Mary Jac Blaylock, Jamie Goodwin and Trish Birch; stepbrothers, Eddie, Danny, Alan and Tony Peitz; and stepsister, Marilyn Sanders. He is also survived by partner, Kerry Bowden, and leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
