James Bacon

James Orth Bacon, 86, of Little Rock, passed away December 3, 2018. Born in Cave City, Arkansas to Robert and Audie Girtman Bacon, he was a homebuilder and a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. James was a past Vice-President of the Home Builders Association and was on the Twin Lakes Association Board of Directors.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Laman Bacon; children, James Michael Bacon of Little Rock, Patricia Ann Cotten (Clark) of Damascus and Robert Thomas Bacon (Annette) of Lynn Haven, Florida; grandchildren, James Matthew Bacon, Stuart Michael Bacon, Elliott Samuel Cotten, John Robert Bacon, Elizabeth Ann Peevy and Rachel Leigh Bacon; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Billy Wayne Bacon and Lines Dale Bacon and sister, Linda Sue Norman.

Services will be held Thursday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Paul Sanders and Rev. Dave Hughey, followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Visitation will precede the service from 11:45-12:45 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home.
