James Jones

James A. Jones, 92, of Little Rock, passed away February 27, 2021. He was born in Birmingham, AL, to the late James E. Jones and the late Kelly Jones Cottingham. Jim attended Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama and the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in a MASH unit as a lab technician.  He was employed at Sears & Roebuck for 20 years and McKay Realty for 25 years.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Shirley Jones; three daughters, Terry McBride of Calera, Alabama, Kelly Causey (Clif) and Leigh Ann Cooper (Scott), both of Maumelle; three grandsons, James “Mac” McBride of Nashville, TN, Jack Spradlin of Maumelle, and Thomas Cooper of Fayetteville.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on March 28 from 2-4 p.m. at his home. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to First Tee of Arkansas, 1 1st Tee Way, Little Rock, AR 72204.
